A critical component of the National Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Development Agenda is the development of the SME Database. The Business Profile Management System (BPMS) is an enhanced database that will monitor the individual SME.  It is one of the data sources of the Philippine Business Registry (PBR).
 
The BPMS is a web-based system that allows DTI Regional/Provincial Offices, bureaus, and agencies to update their own clients’ business profiles. It includes a product coding facility and a business matching facility that allows local as well as exporting firms to be matched with their requirements.
