Research
The Bureau of Export Trade Promotion (BETP) provides a list of available research categories such as specialized studies, industry situationer, market brief, and export and import trade statistics, which include information on world demand, trade updates, foreign buyers and their products of interest, product profiles, market guides, and assistance packages available to exporters.

Domestic Trade
This is a statistical report on the flow of goods in the regions in the country. It likewise summarizes the quantity and value of commodities transported through airports, seaports, and railway stations in the country.

Classification of the commodities was based on the 1989 Philippine Standard Commodity Classification (PSCC) aligned with the United Nations (UN) Standard International Trade Classification (SITC) REV 3. Major commodities include food and live animals; beverages and tobacco; crude materials; inedible except fuels fuels; lubricants and materials; animals and vegetable oils; fats and waxes; chemicals and related products; manufactured goods classified chiefly by material, machinery, and articles; and other commodities not classified elsewhere in the PSCC.

Domestic trade statistics are classified as:
  • Coastwise Trade Statistics - compilation of data on commodities using the water transport system from 45 major ports and 388 active sea ports of the 745 ports listed by the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) all over the country
  • Air Trade Statistics - compilation of data on commodities using the air transport system from 41 Philippine Airlines (PAL)-operated domestic airports
  • Railway Trade Statistics - compilation of data on the movements of commodities through the rail transport system of 35 of 46 Philippine NationalRailways (PNR) located in the National Capital Region (NCR), Southern Luzon, and Bicol Region.
