One MSME in the province of Iloilo is qualified for the assistance under the Regional Information Platform for Philippine Exporters (RIPPLES) Plus Program. The DTI-Iloilo Provincial Office is facilitating the program through the Export Marketing Bureau’s support mechanism.

The beneficiary is Einar’s Natural Food Export based in Pavia, Iloilo. The firm is into the production and processing of herbal tea and virgin coconut oil (VCO).

Using specific interventions relevant to the company needs, DTI-Iloilo will be assisting the firm to develop export capabilities to gain better access in relevant markets under the strategic components of the Philippine Export Development Plan (PEDP) 2015-2017.

Through the program, the beneficiary would become compliant with prescribed international market standards and requirements, employ new technologies in the production process for its products to go side by side with known international brands.

The focus now is not only to export to Filipinos abroad but already to take on the mainstream market. Adherence to sound manufacturing principles and globally accepted product standards are among the initiatives being pushed by the government for the producers to grow.

And this could be achieved through capability building, marketing support, market access, trade facilitation, product safety and quality, innovation, and competitiveness.
