The Philippines’ total merchandise trade for January-November 2017 reached US$141.90 billion, an increase of 9.9% from US$129.12 billion recorded in January-November 2016.  Total exports went up by 10.8% to US$58.10 billion in January-November 2017 from US$52.44 billion in the same period last year.  Similarly, total imports increased by 9.3% from US$76.68 billion in January-November 2016 to US$83.80 billion in January-November 2017.  The country’s balance of trade in goods registered US$25.71 billion deficit in January-November 2017 higher than the US$24.23 billion deficit during the same period in 2016.
