COMPETENCIES:

DELIVERABLES:

  1. Completion of domestic procedures for the ratification and implementation of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), ASEAN Trade in Services Agreement (ATISA), and Tenth Package of Commitments under the ASEAN Framework Agreement on Services;
  2. On-going negotiation of the ASEAN Movement of Natural Persons Agreement;
  3. Discussions on the accession of interested countries I economies to RCEP;

4, Discussions on Chile’s request to accede to the ASEAN-Australia-New Zealand FTA (AANZFTA);

  1. Review and Upgrade negotiations of the ASEAN FTAs, namely: ASEAN Trade in Goods Agreement, AANZFTA, ASEAN-China FTA, ASEAN-Korea FTA, and ASEAN-India FTA;
  2. Transition to the Negative Listing of Commitments under the RCEP and ATISA;
  3. Ongoing work on new and emerging areas in trade such as e-commerce,

investments, trade and sustainable development, trade and gender;

  1. Ongoing work as PH participates in the Joint Statement Initiatives (JSI) on ECommerce, Investment Facilitation for Development, Services Domestic

Regulation; as well as discussions on MSMEs; and

  1. Continuing work on possible MC12 outcomes in the areas of Agriculture,

Fisheries Subsidies, SPS, TRIPS Non-Violation, as well as reforms and

modernization of trade rules.

  1. Commencement of scoping discussions and negotiations of the various pillars under the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework.

The new deliverables will entail substantive work involving the following:

  1. Development of database for trade simulations;
  2. Analysis of existing commitments and legal texts in FTAs, gap analysis vis-a-vis PH FTA commitments and PH regime;
  3. Stakeholder consultations and briefings with the Executive and Legislative, key agencies, industries and sectors;
  4. Inter-agency deliberations and clearances, among others; and
  5. Negotiations with external partners
