In view of the Quezon City Council Resolution No. SP-9832 series of 2024 declaring a State of Calamity in Quezon City due to severe tropical storm “Kristine” effective October 25, 2024. 

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) informs all consumers and retailers that based on Section 6 of the Republic Act 7581 or the Price Act, prices in an area or under a state of calamity or under an emergency shall be automatically frozen at their prevailing prices under automatic price control for a period of 60 days unless sooner lifted.
