The DTI-Bureau of Philippine Standards is set to update the versions of the mandatory Philippine National Standards (PNS) for household and similar electrical appliances and include 14 new household appliances on its List of Products under Mandatory Certification. A public consultation was held on 20 October 2016 in which the draft Department Administrative Order (DAO) was presented and discussed among the stakeholders.
The Bureau welcomes position papers on the proposed DAO. Please transmit to the DTI-BPS office (3/F UPRC Bldg., 315 Sen. Gil Puyat Avenue, Makati City) or via email at bps@dti.gov.ph on or before close of business on 16 December 2016.
