Go Lokal!, the market access platform introduced by the Department of Trade & Industry (DTI) for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), will formally launch its flagship store in LazMall on 17 November 2021.

As the COVID-19 pandemic transformed the way things are done, depending greatly on digitalization, it surprisingly came along with many opportunities for MSMEs.

DTI Secretary Ramon M. Lopez lauds the partnership between the public and private sector to work towards the digital transformation of Philippine MSMEs and the promotion of local businesses and their products in Lazada. “We greatly value Lazada’s contribution to creating awareness of Philippine products, inculcating a love of homegrown brands, and instilling patriotism among Filipinos,” he added.

On a similar note, CEO Ray Alimurung of Lazada fully supports the DTI in bringing Go Lokal! to another level with the formal launch of the Go Lokal! Flagship Store. “We are enabling Go Lokal! to ride on the growth of the digital economy and reach a wider audience nationwide” he said.

Go Lokal! has aligned its goals towards digitalization and supports this shift by opening stores in five e-commerce marketplaces, including LazMall. The Go Lokal! Online Stores have provided continuous sales opportunities to local MSMEs, bringing a total of 130 companies online.

The Go Lokal! Flagship Store in LazMall will feature an initial batch of 31 homegrown MSMEs and their 368 products. Healthy snacks and drinks, artisanal and gourmet food products, gifts, and souvenir items are now available at the Go Lokal! store in LazMall.

A program to be led by DTI on 17 November will start at 5:00 p.m., preceding the Grand LazLive Session hosted by Zeti Cuenca, a key opinion leader, and content creator. These will be streamed on Go Lokal!’s Facebook Page, while the LazLive Session will be available in the Lazada App.

Support local businesses while you receive discounts of up to 39% off, free shipping vouchers, varied discounts when you meet a certain minimum amount spent in the Go Lokal! store at https://www.lazada.com.ph/shop/go-lokal

With its sales in LazMall picking up pace, Go Lokal! would like to reach the maximum potential of the platform and encourage more local MSME manufacturers to be part of the Go Lokal! program and join the different Go Lokal! stores nationwide.
