The DTI’s Consumer Protection Group (CPG) provides updates on its specific programs for consumers and businesses as well.
The DTI looks into the effects of the implementation of electronic billing or paperless billing to consumers as issues arise on added cost for those who prefer paper billing.
As Filipinos ready for vacation, the DTI reinforces its market monitoring and enforcement activities on Fair Trade Laws to ensure that consumers only purchase basic necessities and prime commodities within the suggested retail prices (SRPs).
The DTI also prompts consumers to properly use their appliances at home and at work to prevent fire incidents.
