The DTI’s Consumer Protection Group (CPG) provides updates on its specific programs for consumers and businesses as well.
The DTI strengthened its price and supply monitoring activities in Mindanao for basic necessities. Particularly, the DTI releases its monitoring report on the price and supply situation in Iligan City.
In addition, the Department joined forces with the Department of Health’s Food and Drug Administration (DOH-FDA) and the local government units (LGUs) in ensuring quality school supplies that are sold within their suggested retail prices (SRPs).
Furthermore, the DTI reviews its policies on the certification scheme for steel products particularly on sampling sizes for product certification.
