- Event: The DTI’s Consumer Protection Group (CPG), through its Fair Trade Enforcement Bureau (FTEB), launches the Project Execution Team or ET to intensify the implementation of Fair Trade Laws for the protection of consumers. The DTI also strengthens its partnerships with other government offices through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to implement the proiect. With this project, the DTI expects to ensure that basic necessities and prime commodities that are being sold in the market are within their suggested retail prices; and critical products that DTI regulates and are found in the market bear the Philippine Standard (PS) and Import Commodity Clearance (ICC) marks.
