The DTI joins the DOST-PTRI in celebrating the “Philippine Tropical Fabrics (PTF) Month”, an institutionalized event under Proclamation No. 313 issued in 2012 which declared January of every year as PTF month. The theme for this year’s celebration is, “Fashioning Philippine Textiles in the Now Normal and in the Year of the Creative Economy”.
The objective of the celebration is to increase the awareness of government employees and the general public on PTF and Republic Act No. 9242, in line with Proclamation No. 313.
The DOST-PTRI will host a two-day event in line with the celebration and the foundation day of the Institute as follows:

| January 28, 2021 | Virtual Presser on Natural Textiles; Launch of the PTRI Textile Hub and Gallery; Re-launch of the Philippine Textiles e-portal |
The activities will be held both virtually and physically at the PTRI Gallery and Design Innovation Hub.♦
