Friends, partners, mentors, enablers and mentee-graduates of Kapatid Mentor ME (KMME) program, magandang hapon at happy 5th anniversary sa inyong lahat!
It has been five years from the time the very first batch of mentees first began their journey of learning from the best entrepreneurship coaches. Now the program is on its 413th batch of mentees, and a total of 34,705 MSMEs have benefited from the experience and commitment of participating corporations and individuals. Since 2016, the program has covered a total of 17 regions and 101 provinces and cities and yielded 9,742 graduates. It now has a total of 759 Certified Mentors.
Let me therefore thank PCE-Go Negosyo for partnering with us in this endeavor and proving that partnership between the government and the private sector not only works but is often a more efficient option.
The theme for this year’s summit is “Thriving Together Through Adversity,” which reflects the program’s strategy of adjusting in the face of COVID-19 restrictions by using the online platform. This summit hopes to inspire the mentee-graduates through the stories of successful entrepreneurs. As they say, stories are powerful mentorship tools because they impart lessons from the challenges and experiences of others. Another goal of this summit is to get you updated on business trends in the New Normal.
Let me also commend the mentee-graduates who have shown their commitment and determination to scale up their businesses. That might take a little more courage during this time of the pandemic, but because you have learned from the best, we believe you can overcome the odds. Talagang laban lang at matitibay po ang mga entrepreneurs dito sa ating bansa.
I also want to thank the team from our Regional Operations Group headed by Usec Bles Lantayona, Assistant Secretaries, the Regional Directors, Asst Regional Directors, Provincial Directors and their teams for ensuring that projects are implemented on the ground. Indeed, you have excellently manifested our slogan “Serbisyong Higit Pa Sa Inaasahan.”
And last but not the least, let me thank the mentors and coaches for generously supporting the program from the very beginning.
Alam niyo po, parating natin pinagmamalaki na ang mga programa po natin dito po sa DTI at kasama po ang GoNegosyo sa KMME program, ang malaking benepisyo po nito ay ang ating mga mentors ay may experience. Hindi lamang academic kung hindi pinagdaanan at naging matagumpay sa kani-kanilang mga career at negosyo. Sabi nga may “K,” may karapatan magturo, mag-coach, mag-mentor sa atin pong lahat.
Kapatid Mentor ME is one of the flagship programs of DTI and as such, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte wants to assure our MSMEs of the government’s continuing support, especially in these challenging times.
Makaka-asa po kayo, nabanggit po ng ating pangulo ang kanyang pagbigay ng prayoridad sa pagtulong sa mga MSMEs. Again, after the KMME program, tingnan pa po ninyo ang ibang pang mga programa ng DTI na makakatulong sa pagsulong na inyong negosyo.
Nandiyan po ang pagkuha ng machines, micro-financing loans, pati na rin ang pag-penetrate ng mga market kung nasaan ang Go Lokal!, OTOP hub, pati na rin virtual digitalization, virtual ecommerce platforms na wino-workout po ng DTI para mabigyan ng mas magandang exposure kayong lahat for free. So, lahat po ito para sa ating mga kababayan MSMEs.
