On behalf of the Department of Trade and Industry, it is my honor to convey our sincerest congratulations to the Madlambayan family and Haus Talk, Inc not only for being the first IPO of the Philippine Stock Exchange for 2022, but also for achieving this in the midst of a pandemic!
Haus Talk has taken the bold step of joining PSE’s hand-holding program, and the results will surely inspire other promising SMEs to take the “Road to IPO” toward expansion, growth, and sustained impact on clients, employees, and other stakeholders.
From small beginnings as a family enterprise, Haus Talk has emerged to become one of our country’s leading housing developers, serving thousands of families in the working class and middle-class housing markets.
We thank you for helping our kababayans fulfill their dreams of owning a home. We are one with you in celebrating this milestone, the product of the Madlambayan family’s grit and value-for-money vision. We are also here to wish you all the best as you mark a new beginning with more financial resources through this IPO to scale up nationally.
As the government pursues its Build, Build, Build aggressive infrastructure development program, which would certainly support access to many of your projects, we enjoin you do your own “build, build, build” expansion plans as these economic activities not only contribute to increasing access to housing, but these construction activities will surely generate a multiplier effect in terms of job generation
May this IPO serve to inspire more MSMEs to aspire for scaling up like Haus Talk. May this also serve to amplify the signal that our capital market is healthy and ready to support the growth of our MSMEs.
We extend our congratulations as well to the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) President Monzon, your team, and your hand-holding program for MSME listings, like this one for Haus Talk. I remember when we launched this a couple of months ago, you were a big help in demystifying the participation of MSMEs in PSE in tapping the equities market and in elevating the governance of many corporations, particularly the MSMEs. Congratulations also to the Securities Commission (SEC) for successfully helping boost our SMEs which are valuable engines of economic growth and employment, as envisioned and being pursued also by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
