DTI Quezon together with some of the forty-four (44) eligible beneficiaries under the Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa Program

The Department of Trade and Industry—Quezon held the ceremonial awarding of certificates to forty-four (44) eligible beneficiaries under the Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa Program at the 3/F Annex Building, Municipal Hall Extension, Catanauan, Quezon, on November 8, 2022. The program’s beneficiaries were affected by health disasters such as the COVID-19 pandemic.

The activity was formally launched with program preliminaries. Hon. Rixon Comiso, SB chair of the Committee on Economic Enterprises, delivered opening remarks to welcome the beneficiaries officially. Hon. Rodolfo Pardilla, SB Chair on the Committee on Agriculture, and Hon. Ederlinda Ramos, SB Chair on the Committee on Tourism, delivered inspirational and support messages. Ms. Anna Marie V. Quincina, Business Development Division Chief, then provided the overview of the program.

Moreover, Narcisa Geñoso, owner of Nacy’s Food Products in Brgy. San Isidro gave her response as being one of the beneficiaries of the program. She thanked the DTI for making her feel fortunate to be a part of the Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa Program.

During the event, a Certificate of Award was given to each beneficiary, and then photo opportunities were taken. Following the brief program, the PPG recipients went to Puregold Catanauan to purchase their business kits.

This event was successfully coordinated and fully supported by Catanauan Municipal Mayor Ramon A. Orfanel. The PPG team was headed by DTI Quezon Chief of Business Development Division Ms. Anna Marie V. Quincina supported by PPG Focal Person, Mr. Patrick P. Acesor, PPG Staff John Mark Ricarro and Negosyo Center Catanauan Business Counselor Ms. Leah Maris S. de Imus.

The PPG Program is a livelihood seeding and entrepreneurship development program for microenterprises, prioritizing areas affected by fire incidents and other calamities, including armed conflicts and health disasters (Covid-19 Pandemic). The program aims to accelerate the recovery of affected businesses and communities by giving them livelihood assistance and entrepreneurship programs.
