PAGSANJAN, LAGUNA — On February 6, 2023, the Department of Trade and Industry Laguna Provincial Office (DTI Laguna) headed by OIC Provincial Director Christian Ted Tungohan paid a courtesy visit to Pagsanjan Honorable Mayor Cesar Areza at the Mayor’s Office in Barangay Binan, Pagsanjan, Laguna.

Mayor Areza shared his vision on the economic development of Pagsanjan and urged DTI Laguna to continue partnering with them to realize that vision.

Some of the agreements made during the said visit are as follows:

• DTI Laguna to be relocated in Barangay Biñan, Pagsanjan, Laguna, where LGU Pagsanjan will donate 500 sqm land with common parking for clients.
• LGU Pagsanjan to review their Investment Code to attract more investors to engage in business in Pagsanjan.
• A Trade Fair during Bangkero Festival at Areza Parking Area to be held in last week of March.
• Celebration of the MSME Week in July to be conducted for the entrepreneurs in Pagsanjan.
• LGU Pagsanjan and DTI Laguna to encourage MSMEs to secure BMBE Certificate of Authority for them to avail incentives, including exemption to income tax.
• LGU Pagsanjan and DTI Laguna to assist the Persons with Disabilities Affairs Office in their proposed Pasalubong Center inside the CLA Mall.

With the continuous partnership and linkage, DTI Laguna and LGU Pagsanjan are committed to continue in assisting MSMEs in the municipality for further development. ♦
