Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Misamis Oriental turned over livelihood kits to residents of Bugo, Cagayan de Oro City who were heavily affected by Typhoon Paeng last October 2022.

Through DTI’s Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa (PPG) program, recipients are given opportunities to restart their businesses or help them get back on their feet.

DTI-PPG is a livelihood and entrepreneurship development program which aims to assist micro-enterprises and other identified individuals and families affected by fire incidents and other calamities to recover and/or start their businesses.

PPG helps by providing information materials, offering business counseling and mentoring, conducting enterprise development training, and providing livelihood kits.

Last January 25, 2023, recipients from Bugo, Cagayan de Oro City were provided with 58 grocery trading kits, 6 rice trading kits, and 4 food processing kits.

The turnover ceremony was attended by Congressman Rufus B. Rodriguez, Cagayan de Oro City Second District Representative, and DTI Misamis Oriental team headed by Provincial Director Almer Masillones.♦
