CANDELARIA, QUEZON — On January 10, 2023, DTI Shared Service Facilities Quezon met with the Municipal Agriculturist of Candelaria, Mr. Ramon Nonato Plata, and the Municipal Engineer of Candelaria, Engr. Reynante Plata, from the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Candelaria, Quezon, together with representatives from the Candelaria Federation of Farmers Association (CFFA), composed of Ms. Herminia Arpia, Mr. Edwin Escamillas, and Mr. Alejandrino Llave, as well as the Focal Person for the SSF Project and a representative from the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPA), Mr. Russel Manuba, at the DTI Quezon Provincial Office, Lucena City, to discuss the status update for the ongoing development of the SSF Project for Multi-commodity Processing Center in Candelaria, Quezon. The meeting was facilitated by the DTI Quezon SSF Team, led by Division Chief for Business Development Division, Anna Marie V. Quincina, together with Provincial SSF Coordinator Ma. Graciela C. Ledesma and SSF Support Staff Dendro M. Pereda.
SSF Support Staff Pereda started the meeting with the recent highlights in the progress of the SSF Project and discussed the agenda of the meeting. It was followed by Mr. Manuba’s status update on the machines and equipment being in the same condition as they were delivered at the Food and Herbal Facility at Talipan, Pagbilao. Engr. Plata also discussed the status update for the actual facility of the SSF Project at Candelaria, Quezon. SSF Provincial Coordinator Ledesma then discussed that the supplier for the project had already scheduled the final delivery of the lacking machines for replacement on December 29, 2022, as well as the formal training in operating the machines on January 23–25, 2023. Municipal Agriculturist Plata as well as representatives from CFFA shared their thoughts about the schedule of training and agreed on the said date.
The DTI Quezon SSF Team, together with LGU Candelaria and CFFA, plans to conduct technical training for machines and equipment for the SSF Project for Multi-Commodity Processing on January 23–25, 2023. ♦
