The launching for IP help desk Rizal was facilitated by the DTI Rizal and IPSO CALABARZON at DTI Rizal training room last January 30, 2023. It was a hybrid activity participated by 40 participants from REMAI, SARAP, URS, RPG, IPSO, PCCI, and the DTI Rizal Team. It was also live at ZOOM and Facebook.
The launching was hosted by Business Counselor TIDA, Sep Laurel. The invocation was led by CFID Support Staff, Jerome Montealegre. It was followed by the welcome message of DTI Rizal OIC-Provincial Director, Cleotilde M. Duran where she expressed her insights on the creation of IP Help Desks and discussed some of the DTI Rizal plan to help the improvement of MSMEs in the province.
This was followed by a message from PCCI President, Gladdie Mallari. He was very supportive on the partnership of DTI Rizal and IPOPHL initiative to expand its reach. He talked through the importance of having a regulatory party like IPOPHL to assist our MSME’s to protect their assets through IP registration.
IPSO management specialist, Engr. Maria Elena Obrero carried out the message from the OIC Head of IP Regional Operations, Atty. Louie Andrew C. Calvario. She discussed the strategic plan that they were implementing which is the establishment of IP Help Desks on LGU’s and other government agencies.
An inspirational message was given by the Rizal Provincial Governor, Ms. Nina Ricci A. Ynares. She shared her wisdom on marketing and entrepreneurship and also pointed out that having a really good flagship product on a province or municipality is really a key not only to promote the province itself but also to promote its other products.
After the messages was the ribbon cutting ceremony followed by the presentation of IPSO Intellectual Property Rights Specialist IV, Engr. Emmanuel M. Mendoza of the services, programs and initiatives of IPOPHL.
The closing message was delivered by DTI-Rizal BDD Chief, Sharon F. Dioco. She thanked the guests for their support on the creation of the IP Help Desk in DTI Rizal and stated that she is looking forward on the impact of this initiative to the MSMEs in the province. The last part of the activity was the one-on-one IP cliniquing with IPSO IP Field Operation Specialist, Joel Caalaman where he assisted all the interested MSMEs on IP registration. ♦
