TAYTAY, RIZAL — The Department of Trade and Industry, through Negosyo Center Taytay conducts consultation/seminar regarding business and how to start a business last January 26, 2023, from 9am to 12pm.

The said activity was organized and requested by Mr. Bryan Carlo Teodosio and Ms. Rosita Santos of Multiversity, a non-government organization that works directly with urban and rural communities in selected areas in Metro Manila that had been advocating for basic social services, disaster risk reduction and management and other advocacies towards community development.

Type of participants were groups engaged in business particularly on garments manufacturing to single proprietors, while others are still not registered business and still starting.  Total number of participants is thirty (30).

The speaker is Negosyo Center Taytay Business Counselor Mr. Raymond S. Melendres.  He discussed the importance of knowing your business inside and out, the raw material suppliers and buyers. It was also explained that proper identification of production cost is very important in coming up with a mark-up price, and that unwanted production expenses should be eliminated to increase income. Steps in registering a business were also discussed, as well as the Barangay Micro Business Enterprise (BMBE) registration and its benefits. Lastly, others DTI assistance and programs were also briefly tackled.
