The Philippine Board of Investments (BOI), the country’s lead industry development and primary investments promotion agency (IPA), is partnering for the second time with the Philippine Parts Makers Association (PPMA) in showcasing Pinoy-made auto parts at the 2018 Philippine Auto and Parts Expo (PhilAPEX).
Following last year’s successful first PhilAPEX, this year’s exhibit will be held from August 9 and 10 at the SMX Convention Center, SM Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City. This year’s event will run under the same theme last year: “Gawang Pilipino, Para sa Pilipino,” showcasing the top-quality, craftsmanship, and ingenuity of Filipinos in the automotive industry as well as the achievements of the Comprehensive Automotive Resurgence Strategy (CARS) program.
“It showcases our local auto parts manufacturing capabilities, present the gains from the implementation of the two participating car makers (PCMs) in the program and provide the opportunity for Business to Business (B2B) networking among parts makers and vehicle manufacturers,” Trade Undersecretary and BOI Managing Head Ceferino Rodolfo said during the press launch of the 2018 PhilAPEX at the BOI Building recently. ♦
