Laguna, Philippines—The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) held a competency training on employment and job coaching for Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) students in Calamba to boost their employability last 17 January 2025.

The DTI Laguna Provincial Office, in collaboration with the Center for Competencies Enhancement and Development (CCED), hosted the seminar entitled “Employment/Job Coaching Seminar.” The seminar was participated in by 65 TESDA students pursuing programs in food and beverage services, events management services, housekeeping, and bookkeeping.

The seminar began with a warm welcome from Ms. Lored Amansec, President of CCED, who  introduced the event’s resource speakers.

Attendees gained actionable insights and practical tools to navigate their career paths effectively. Key takeaways included strategies to enhance job readiness, foundational business knowledge, and awareness of ethical practices.

Furthermore, the participants gained access to government resources such as the DTI’s business support services. They also learned the importance of networking and leveraging opportunities for career growth.
