The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) is set to serve more consumers with the best Filipino products from various provinces in its upcoming Bagsakan to be held on September 20-30, 2022 at the 3F Event Center of Fisher Mall Malabon to jumpstart the festive mood of the BER Months.
Organized by the DTI- Bureau of Domestic Trade Promotion (BDTP) in coordination with the DTI Regional Operations Group, and in partnership with Fisher Mall Malabon, the upcoming event shall mark the 19th Bagsakan activity of the year following the success of the recent 12-day Bagsakan in Fisher Mall Quezon Avenue, Quezon City which generated Php 4.43 million sales and assisted 37 MSMEs from different regions.
Institutional buyers, distributors, retailers, resellers, and the buying public in the NCR and nearby provinces can enjoy a wide range of quality local products from Nueva Vizcaya, Bataan, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, Quezon, Sorsogon, Cebu, Samar, Zamboanga, and NCR.
The Bagsakan will showcase a great selection of food, beverages, health and wellness products, handwoven products, fashion and accessories, handicrafts, homestyle items, gifts and souvenirs, and more. The Bagsakan Special Project started as a crisis-response initiative in 2020 in support of the Bayanihan to Heal as One Act. It is aimed at helping ensure the supply of food and essential products for consumers and at the same time, assist farmers, fruit growers, social cooperatives, and MSMEs to market their product and generate income amid the pandemic. For 2022, the BDTP has already organized 18 Bagsakan events which generated Php 33.57 million in sales and assisted 332 MSMEs, small holder farmers social coops.
