The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Bagsakan Special Project is back in Region 4A showcasing the best products of at least 30 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from Bataan, Batangas, Cavite, Rizal, Quezon, Sorsogon, Bohol, Cebu, and the NCR. The DTI Bureau of Domestic Trade Promotion (BDTP) in partnership with Filinvest Lifemalls, will feature a wide selection of products in its Bagsakan events on 25 – 27 March 2022 at the Activity Center, Main Square Mall in Bacoor City, Cavite; and on 31 March – 3 April 2022 at the Ground Floor, Fora Mall in Tagaytay City.

Consumers and buyers from Metro Manila and nearby provinces will get a chance to source the  tasty delicacies from the provinces such as fresh cashew and peanut products, bagoong, nilasing na hipon, aligue, smoked fish, dried seafood, tahong chips, chili paste, banana chips, polvoron, cassava chips, local pastries, fruit jams, rice wine, Vigan and Lucban longganisa, skincare, and health and wellness products, among others. The event will also highlight the creativity of Filipino artisans through unique fashion items, Liliw footwear, personalized accessories, leather goods, home accents, decors and ornaments, hand painted pots, table boxes, baskets, placements and other home items that are made of indigenous raw materials.

Among the participating MSMEs are Adorno ‘72 Home Decors, Ai-She Footwear, Alion Kapitbisig SEA-K Association, Amanda’s Marine Products, Beakris House of Goodies, Cerra Furniture, Franchezka Enterprises, Gloria’s Delicacies, Island RKOC Home Décor Accessories, JER Shellcraft Creation International, City of Bacoor Processing Center,  Ding’s Delight, Mandala Ceramics, JMU Belt Collection, Jzaki Enterprises, LuckyGemsBiz General Merchandise, Magpoc’s Araro Cookies, Mira’s Turmeric Products, Moonlight Handicrafts, Pangalatok’s Enterprises, Ruthy’s Food Products, Sweetstyle Beadworks, Stalder Group of Companies, Terio’s Food Products, and Willy’s Cashew Nuts.

The Bagsakan Special Project continues to gain the support of consumers and institutional buyers in favor of MSMEs, farmers, fruit growers and social cooperatives who were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. As a crisis-response initiative under the “Bayanihan We Heal as One Act,” this program helps ensure the supply of food and essential products while helping MSMEs market and sell their products, hence bolstering the economy amid the COVID-19 crisis. Since 2020, the DTI has been collaborating with commercial venues which enabled the project to generate Php 44.28 million sales for 359 farmer and fruit producers’ groups, MSMEs, and social coops from across the country. The DTI’s partnership with Filinvest Lifemalls since 2020 has chalked up 11 Bagsakan events which generated P11.78-M sales and showcased MSMEs and their products.
