Makati City, Philippines —The Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) continues its mission to uplift Filipino micro enterprises through the second module of “Tindahan Mo e-Level Up Mo,” last July 24.
The DTI successfully completed the Module 2: e-Level Up ang Online Marketing, in partnership with industry leaders like Unilever, Nestlé and social media platform, TikTok. This module equipped sari-sari store owners with digital marketing strategies to expand their customer base and boost sales.
“Module 2 is a step up from the basics as it equipped sari-sari store owners with the tools to harness the immense power of social media. By leveraging these online business platforms, participants have the potential to reach new customers, expand their reach, and ultimately drive growth for their businesses,” DTI Secretary Fred Pascual said as he encouraged the participants to seize the opportunity that this initiative presents.
Meanwhile, DTI Undersecretary Ed Sunico, expressed optimism for the participants as the module also included social media marketing techniques. These include creating engaging short videos and live-selling sessions. Additionally, the module provided tips on how to become brand affiliates, which would allow participants to diversify their product offerings and increase their income.
“We strongly encourage all sari-sari store owners to take part in this transformative journey. Digital marketing is no longer optional but a necessity to keep up with consumer behavior and market trends. Through this program, we are not just digitalizing businesses, but also empowering our micro enterprises to become resilient and competitive in today’s economy,” said Undersecretary Sunico.
The three remaining modules will include the following: Module 3: e-Level Up ang Puhunan (August 28), Module 4: e-Level Up ang Paninda, and Module 5: e-Level Up ang Operations (October 23).
The DTI encourages all sari-sari store owners and microentrepreneurs to access the modules on the Department’s Facebook and YouTube pages. Replays are also available at the Regional and Provincial Offices, as well as Negosyo Centers nationwide.
