The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the Department of Agriculture (DA), in collaboration with Metro Retail Stores Group, Inc., will launch the Presyong Risonable Dapat Program – Frozen Meat Edition (PRDP-FME) on 25 October 2021 at Metro Supermarket, Market! Market! McKinley Parkway, Taguig City.

Since July, the DTI has been partnering with retail establishments and local government units in the National Capital Region to provide the public with affordable frozen meat products in the midst of the pandemic. Under the PRDP-FME, the available meat products are priced at P200 to P250 per kilo, while chicken products are sold at P110 per kilo. Aside from Metro Supermarket in Market! Market!, the following meat products will be available in Alabang, Binondo, Pasay, and Pasig Metro supermarkets:

DTI Consumer Protection Group Undersecretary Ruth B. Castelo says, “The DTI expresses its appreciation to Metro Retail Stores Group, Inc. for joining the DTI and DA in this program to ensure consumers’ access to low-cost, high-quality meat products.”

This October, as part of the Consumer Welfare Month (CWM) celebration, the DTI will continue to hold the PRDP-FME Weekend Pop-Up Stores in various areas within NCR on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Consumers are encouraged to follow the DTI’s Consumer Care official social media accounts for announcements and schedule of the program.
