PAKIL, LAGUNA – The Department of Trade and Industry – Laguna Provincial Office (DTI-Laguna) through its Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa (PBG) program recently held its first run of awarding and distribution of PBG livelihood kits at Turumba Spring Resort, Brgy. Baño, Pakil, Laguna, on September 3, 2020. Eight beneficiaries from Brgy. Saray, one of the identified priority areas, were given livelihood packages amounting to no less than five thousand pesos.

The PBG program aims to help individuals, families, or MSMEs (micro, small, and medium enterprises) affected by natural calamities and man-made incidents. The eight beneficiaries are sari-sari store, eatery, and soap-making business owners. Each was encouraged to have their businesses registered and to secure their DTI Business Name Certificate at DTI-Laguna Negosyo Center Pakil located at 1F, Municipal Hall, Pakil, Laguna.

The awarding ceremony also included beneficiaries’ signing of the pledge of commitment forms, witnessed and graced by DTI-Laguna’s Provincial Director Susan R. Palo, Pakil Municipal Mayor Vincent L. Soriano, and Brgy. Saray Chairman Jayson P. Abuel.♦
