The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)- Nueva Vizcaya awarded a total of Php 2.310 M worth of checks to the LGU of Santa Fe, Nueva Vizcaya for the implementation of two (2) Bottom-up Budgeting (BuB) Projects for 2016 in Forest Park, Santa Fe, Nueva Vizcaya on 12 January 2017.
The awarding of the BuB checks was led by DTI Region 2 OIC Regional Director Ruben B. Diciano together with DTI- Nueva Vizcaya staff headed by OIC PD Henry O. Conel, Jr.
On the other hand, honorable Vice Mayor Jonathan M. Tindaan appreciatively received the checks together with the Sangguniang Bayan members, officers and staff of LGU Santa Fe, and BuB beneficiaries of the municipality.
The checks will finance two (2) BuB projects namely: Industry Clustering Development Program amounting to Php 810, 000.00 and the Establishment of OTOP Store Express amounting to Php 1, 500, 000.00.
The Industry Clustering Development Program and the Establishment of OTOP Store Express aims to strengthen and re-organize the business and tourism sector of the municipality. This will help in the sustainability of the newly established municipal OTOP Store by promoting the best products from the sixteen (16) barangays of Santa Fe.
The honorable Vice Mayor Tindaan explained during his speech that the BuB fund will be used in the product development, promotion and trainings needed to boost the potential of the beneficiaries in making indigenous gifts and home decors as the OTOP of Santa Fe.
In addition, OIC PD Conel committed to provide the assistance of DTI- Nueva Vizcaya thru Ms. Rowena F. Mayangat, the MTIO of Santa Fe, in the implementation of the projects.
