During the meeting, Commercial Counsellor Glenn Peñaranda of PTIC-Beijing (standing) shares his experience in engaging with Chinese business organizations and companies.

The Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC)-Beijing, in partnership with the Philippine Silk Road International Chamber of Commerce (PSRICC), conducted a breakfast meeting with the Embassy of the Philippines at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Beijing on September 28, 2018, to discuss how increased business cooperation and engagements could help strengthen the relationship between the Philippines and China.

The PSRICC is a member of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) and the Silk Road Chamber of International Commerce (SRCIC) of China. The delegation was led by Dr. Francis Chua, chairman emeritus of PCCI and founding chairman of International Chamber of Commerce Philippines.

Philippine Ambassador Jose Santiago Sta. Romana welcomed the group and shared that the warm relations of the two countries had generated increased interest in doing business in the Philippines.

Meanwhile, Commercial Counsellor Glenn Peñaranda of PTIC-Beijing said that the promotion of increased bilateral business was a collaborative effort of both government and the private sector. Thus, the visit of the PCRICC, he added, was important in strengthening the country’s institutional and company-to-company engagements with China.♦
