LAGAWE, IFUGAO — The Department of Trade and Industry – Ifugao culminated this year’s MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) Week Celebration through a Financing Forum and MSME Bazaar at the St. Mary Magdalene Parish, Poblacion South, Lagawe, Ifugao on 14 July 2023.
At the opening program, DTI Ifugao OIC PD Engr. Francis D. Pacio highlighted the MSME Week as one of the major celebrations and programs of the agency that champions business. “Use the things that learn so that you will be upscaled, tapno saan kayo nga isu pay a problemaen ni manong gobyerno”, the provincial Trade Head added as he addressed the participating MSMEs in the forum.
After the opening program, Atty. Dante P. Cambri from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas discussed the following topics:
1. Know your money with 1K Polymer;
2. Digital Payments with Cyber Hygiene;
3. Common Frauds and Scams;
4. Paleng-QR PH Plus Program.
In the afternoon, Banco Lagawe, Philippine National Bank and the Small Business Corporation discussed their Financing Windows for MSMEs. Each of their lectures include loan evaluation guidelines and sample calculations to make it easier for MSMEs to understand the application process.
Simultaneous with the Financing Forum, DTI Ifugao also organized an MSME Bazaar outside the venue. Eight MSMEs from the Wearable & Homestyles, Coffee, Cacao, and Processed Fruits & Nuts industries were featured during this marketing endeavour.
To sum it up, for this year’s MSME Week Celebration, DTI Ifugao conducted:
a. 3 trainings
b. 1 financing forum;
c. 1 PPG Profiling;
d. 1 product development activity &;
e.1 marketing activity.
As a result, these yielded to 159 MSMEs assisted for the whole week of July 10-14. See you again during next year’s MSME week celebration. ♦
