NORTHERN MINDANAO – You can now apply for or renew your business name anytime of the day and at the convenience of your home.
The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) is now implementing 100% Online Business Name Registration (BNR) for the following transactions: new application, except for foreign national or recognized refugee/stateless person which requires further evaluation; renewal application; and request for certification.
Aspiring entrepreneurs will no longer need to physically visit the DTI offices including Negosyo Centers for business name registration.
The shift to online registration is intended to accelerate the digital transformation of MSMEs pursuant to Section 7 of Republic Act No. 11032, or the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018 wherein all government agencies including the Local Government Units shall adopt a Zero-Contact Policy.
Aside from the simplified online process, the public is assured that the BNRS Next Gen web-based portal is available online 24/7 and that online registration process is made more convenient using the available online and over-the-counter payment options such as GCash, PayMaya, debit/credit cards, and LANDBANK Link.Biz.
Business name transactions can be accessed on the BNRS website at www.bnrs.dti.gov.ph. ♦
