Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-10 joins other government agencies in bringing its services closer to the residents of Cagayan de Oro City during the Duterte Legacy: Barangayanihan Caravan Towards National Recovery held on 27 April 2022 at Camp Alagar, Lapasan, Cagayan de Oro City.
DTI-10 provided information materials to increase awareness of the public on DTI programs and services to enable businesses and empower consumers.
The government agency also conducted consultation to clients on how to apply for business name registration and how to join specific programs that can assist their growing businesses.
DTI-10 has continued its commitment in providing opportunities to Filipino MSMEs with sustainable livelihood programs.
Since 2016, it has brought business development services closer to the MSMEs with the establishment of 96 Negosyo Centers in the region.
DTI-10 has continued to deliver accomplishments in its various programs for business development despite the pandemic: 808 mentee-graduates were produced under the Kapatid Mentor Me (KMME) Program; 230 Shared Service Facilities (SSF) established; 2,027 livelihood kits provided under the Livelihood Seeding Program-Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa (LSP-PPG); 3,220 livelihood kits distributed under the LSP-Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (NSB); and 10,786 agrarian reform beneficiaries and 135 agrarian reform communities served under the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP).
Under the One Town, One Product (OTOP) Program, MSMEs generated total sales of PHP314.3-M from eighth OTOP hubs and participation in seven physical and virtual trade fairs, from 2020 up to present.
Meanwhile, the office has cumulatively processed 87,225 business name registrations for new and renewal applications; monitored 24,298 firms under the Fair Trade Law implementation; conducted 2,152 consumer advocacies; organized 139 Diskwento Caravans; and issued 242 Safety Seals.
The participation in the conduct of Duterte Legacy caravan is part of DTI-10’s commitment in realizing the country’s goal of globally competitive and innovative industry and services sector that contribute to inclusive growth and employment generation. ♦
