Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 10 has launched the second batch of its Kapatid Mentor Me-Money Market Encounter (KMME-MME) Program for 2024 on July 9, 2024 at Mallberry Suites Business Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City.  

A total of 54 local businesses from Northern Mindanao has joined the second batch of the KMME-MME Program: 10 from Bukidnon, 6 from Camiguin, 13 from Lanao del Norte, 12 from Misamis Occidental, 13 from Misamis Oriental.

During his opening message, DTI-10 OIC-Regional Director Ruel Paclipan commended the expertise of the carefully selected mentors of the program. He also lauded the commitment of the mentees in joining the KMME-MME.

“The fact that you are here today is an expression of your commitment.” OIC-RD Paclipan said. “We hope that your commitment will continue until you finish the ten modules.”

OIC-RD Paclipan also emphasized that the program’s expected outcome is to see the mentees expand and go beyond in their businesses.

Aside from undergoing the 10-module mentorship and coaching program, a Government Services Forum will be conducted to provide additional information to the mentees on the programs and services offered by different government agencies.

The mentees will additionally prepare and present their individual business improvement plans (BIPs) to a panel of industry experts in order to officially graduate from the program, which will run from July to September 2024. 

KMME-MME is a major program of DTI that aims to upscale micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) through coaching and mentoring. It is implemented in partnership with the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship (PCE). ♦
