NORTHERN MINDANAO – Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Lanao del Norte distributed livelihood kits to former rebels under the Livelihood Seeding Program-Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa (LSP-PPG) Program.
PPG is a post-disaster response livelihood seeding and entrepreneurship development program of DTI which aims to assist individuals and families affected by fire incidents and other calamities, including health disasters like the COVID-19 pandemic, to recover and/or start their businesses.
The livelihood kits were given to 37 former rebels from Munai, Lanao del Norte and who were assisted through the National Task Force to End Local Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC).
The kits were tailored to the needs of the beneficiaries. It provided essential tools and resources to help them restart their lives and successfully reintegrate to the community by having sustainable livelihoods.
Aside from the distribution of livelihood packages, the beneficiaries also attended a Consumer Education Seminar where consumer rights and responsibilities were discussed. ♦
