Beneficiaries of livilihood kits handed by the DTI Region 12

KORONADAL CITY, SOUTH COTABATO- Anchored on elevating the living conditions of economically challenged citizens through entrepreneurship and self-reliance, the Department of Trade and Industry 12 through its Sultan Kudarat Provincial Office distributed livelihood starter kits to qualified beneficiaries in the municipality of Lutayan, Sultan Kudarat through its Livelihood Seeding Program-Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (LSP-NSB).

The LSP-NSB is a program of DTI that aims to provide a wider reach of business development package assistance, especially to the far-flung barangays and communities, by bringing closer and making convenient the services of DTI and other national line agencies.

Five initial beneficiaries of Brgy. Lutayan Proper received a livelihood starter kits for a refreshment, e-loading, or food processing business in a turnover ceremony held in the town center on September 10.

Aside from the livelihood starter kits, beneficiaries will also be assisted by DTI through its Negosyo Center with costing and pricing, and other business-related interventions to sustain the business. Additionally, as part of the NSB-LSP Project, the barangay center also received a television set to be used for playing entrepreneurial and infographics presentations. ♦
