KORONADAL CITY, SOUTH COTABATO– Sixty (60) micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) of Region 12 are all set to join The DTI/OTOP Virtual Expo on September 24-28, organized by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)- Philippines with PLDT KaAsenso.
This first-ever OTOP Virtual Expo is built to empower MSMEs to help revitalize the economy during this time of the pandemic.
Unable to conduct physical trade fairs, DTI-Philippines and PLDT KaAsenso partnered to create the OTOP Virtual Expo platform where buyers can visit the participating MSMEs’ booth without going to a physical venue.
Buyers can sign up and log in at the event’s official website http://www.virtualtradeexpoph.com/ to be able to visit DTI-Philippines’ seventeen (17) official regional trade fairs where buyers and guests can inquire for the best regional products and build linkages with the participating MSMEs.
The DTI/OTOP Virtual Expo will also guest renowned businesspersons to discuss and talk about entrepreneurship in its live seminars and trainings.
Treasures of Region 12 is the official regional trade fair of the DTI-Region 12, dubbed as “The Origin of Great Things”; the featured MSMEs will showcase the exquisite products that are home to Region 12.
Products range from food such as tuna, cacao, coffee, sinamak (spiced vinegar) and intricate crafts such as t’nalak products, inaul cloth, brasswares, indigenous home décors, fashion accessories, among others.
Region 12 MSMEs has conquered the digital marketing platforms last July 20 to 24 when the DTI-Philippines has conducted its first “PASINAYA: The OTOP Digital Market Showroom and Online Trade Platform” where Region 12 became the Top 3 gross selling region with more than Php 3Million in sales and Lolit’s Sinamak of MOS Food Products in South Cotabato as its bestselling product.
In this upcoming expo, DTI-Philippines targets Php 50 Million in sales through a partnership with with PLDT KaAsenso as one of the initiatives in helping spur the growth of MSMEs by bringing together stakeholders who have the tools and resources to help them.
