As the region gears up towards another year of the annual Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index (CMCI) Cycle and other Local Competitiveness Enhancement Programs, the Cagayan Valley Regional Competitiveness Committee (RCC) represented by its chair, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 2 and the vice-chair, Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region 2 attended the 2024 National Regional Competitiveness Committee (RCC) Meeting today, 19 March 2024 at the Quest Hotel Clark, Pampanga.

This assembly, facilitated by the Bureau of Industry Planning and Innovation (BIPI), was a gathering of all the RCCs in the country to discuss various topics relative to the competitiveness of the Philippines.

Topics in this meeting include the following:

  • Participatory Mapping- A Tool for Empowerment
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Urban Development and Design
  • Globe Innovation Challenge
  • Regional Competitiveness Committee Matters

Attendees to this national RCC meeting were DTI R2 Assistant Regional Director Winston T. Singun, CMCI Regional Focal Person Mr. Reiner Cardenas, and LGOO V of the DILG R2 Ms. Dyan Marie M. Tambis.
