The Bayanihan spirit yet again rekindles as the first-ever hybrid edition of the Padday na Lima Regional Trade Fair (RTF) concludes generating more than P3-M in sales surpassing the P1-M target.

The week-long event lasted from 1-7 December 2021 and was participated in by over 100 MSMEs and farmers from all over the valley.

The fair was conducted both physically at Robinsons Place Tuguegarao and online at the e-commerce site Mayani.ph, operated by DTI’s active partner Mayani Philippines, and the brand new Padday na Lima webshop created and powered by Deliver-E, another DTI R2 strong ally.

The total generated sales of P3,226,437.00 comprised of booked and cash sales, including proceeds from the live selling broadcasted at the Negosyo Center Cagayan Valley Facebook Page, facilitated by DTI R2 officers.

MJs Food Products and Huangyoo Furniture, both from the Province of Nueva Vizcaya, recorded the highest total sales in the food and non-food sector, respectively.

Padday Na Lima,” is an Ybanag vernacular which means “made by hands” or hand-crafted. The Padday Na Lima RTF is the banner of the agency for the marketing and promotions of Region 2’s products in the fresh and processed food sectors, health and wellness, furniture and furnishing, lifestyle, gift items and holiday décor.

It is implemented annually by DTI Region 2 to stage and provide exposure for the new and improved products of Cagayan Valley that have undergone development through the different programs of DTI. It also aims to help local MSMEs and farmers market their products to generate additional income amidst the challenges of the pandemic.
