The Department of Trade and Industry Region 2, led by Regional Director Leah Pulido Ocampo, was recognized and awarded by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) as one of the top 8 Most Outstanding Partners during the 2023 Outstanding BSP Stakeholders Appreciation Ceremonies (North Luzon) on 17 November 2023 held at the Hilton Clark Sun Valley Resort, Clark, Pampanga.
DTI R2 is in line with the enhancement of public awareness on BSP mandates and advocacies, particularly in maintaining the integrity of the Philippine currency and on financial and economic matters.
The annual BSP event aims to recognize the valuable contributions of its stakeholders. The recipients are carefully selected based on the exemplary support of the BSP and its mandates, anchored on price stability, financial stability, a safe and efficient payment and settlement system, and its flagship advocacy on financial inclusion.
More so, the awardees were recognized for their outstanding assistance in assisting the BSP in ensuring proactive currency circulation, promoting a safe and effective payments system during the pandemic, and involving stakeholders in financial education initiatives.
