The Local Government Unit of Bagabag led by Mayor Benigno Calauad bared their readiness for the 2024 Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index (CMCI) Survey, today, 29 February 2024 during the Levelling up Awareness and BArs on competitiveNess (LABAN) Feedbacking, Analysis, and Re-orientation activity on the Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index (CMCI) Survey conducted by the DTI R2 Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Office at the Municipal Hall, San Geronimo, Bagabag, Nueva Vizcaya.
In his message, Mayor Calauad committed the full support of the LGU to all the endeavors that aim to enhance the LGU’s competitiveness and investment climate. Meanwhile, the participants composed of the heads and representatives of various departments and National Government Agencies expressed their gratitude to the DTI represented by TIDS Silvester T. Miguel, Provincial CMCI Focal Person, and JBC Precious Mae Marzan, for making them appreciate better the purpose of the CMCI.
The Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index (CMCI) is an annual ranking of Philippine cities and municipalities developed by the National Competitiveness Council and the DTI through the Regional Competitiveness Committees (RCCs). It is a tool used to measure LGUs’ performance on five pillars: Economic Dynamism, Government Efficiency, Infrastructure, Resilience, and Innovation.
