The Participants of ACT Session

The Department of Trade and Industry Rizal Provincial Office has recently conducted an Assessment, Consultation and Triage (ACT) Session under its One Town, One Product Next Generation (OTOP Next Gen) program that was participated by selected micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) under the food sector last September 7, 2020 at the Training Room of the Negosyo Center DTI Rizal Provincial Office, Antipolo City.

DTI’s One Town One Product Next Generation (OTOP NG) program primarily aims to level up the products and services of chosen MSMEs by offering set of assistance that would enhance the products’ design, quality, production and marketability. TheACT Session is one of the major interventions offered by the OTOP NG program aiming to gathered food entrepreneurs with their  OTOP products to be assessed by designers, food experts, brand consultants and other resource or service providers whether from DTI and its attached functionaries or from other government agencies and partners.

With the OTOP NG’s objective of promoting the pride of place and cultural value of each town, the program targets to create new products and new brands that would penetrate and influence how the market moves. Hence, DTI Rizal invited expert and professional consultants and designers to fulfill its objective. The session was headed by this year’s OTOP Designer, Mr. Ronald Rommel N. Viloria, Viloria Product Design Enterprise, Chef Fiona Flores and Chef Abner Cauilan, experts from Professional Academy for Culinary Education (PACE), and– Ms. Nina Giron, DOST Science Research Specialist, to assess and give recommendations to our MSMEs to help them improve their products.

The participants during this activity were Dig Deep Ice Cream House (Taytay), EF Pirote Food Products Manufacturing (Tanay), JM Cruz Fruit Juice Manufacturing (Antipolo City), J15 Mother Nurture and Wellness Enterprise (Cainta), Maflor Home of Healthy Foods (Antipolo City), MNCO Enterprises (Cainta), RM Green and Gold Harvest Farm Product Co. (Cainta) Sawasdee Tanay Thair Restaurant (Tanay), Stagira Farms (Pililla), Swirls N Sprinkles Bakeshop (Angono) and Jeterra Bakery and Café (Cainta). ♦
