On 27 October 2021, DTI Regional Technical Working Group – CALABARZON has approved the Shared Service Facilities (SSF) Project for the Quezon Food and Herbal Processing Center (QFHPC) worth P3.5-M in partnership with the provincial government of Quezon and Office of the Provincial Agriculturist.

Regional Director (RD) Marilou Q. Toledo and Assistant Regional Director (ARD) Marissa C. Argente led the virtual meeting together with DTI Quezon Provincial Office led by Provincial Director Julieta L. Tadiosa to discuss the SSF Project and make a decision to approve the said project.

The project aims to uplift the income earned of farmer-beneficiaries through enhancing food processing services offered at the Shared Service Facilities for QFHPC. The processing center is located in Brgy. Talipan, Pagbilao, Quezon.

The RTWG consists of Regional Director Toledo, Assistant Regional Director Argente, Eduardo R. Nicolas III of ECOP-PCCI, Victor Marasigan of KLT Foods, Inc., Marina Manalo, Chief of Small and Medium Enterprises Development Division (SMEDD), Mr. Edgardo Ferino, Leif Byron S. Samiano and Merry Cris T. Pabillar.

Also DTI Quezon SSF Team assisted in the said meeting which consist of Provincial Director Tadiosa, Ma. Graciela C. Ledesma, Provincial Coordinator and Dara Jannes C. Obmerga.

Eleanor D. Zabella, Food Service Supervisor III, presented their project proposal and answered the questions of the RTWG together with Ms. Shyrille O. Lopez and Marive Angeluz Britania from the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist.

The SSF project for Quezon Food and Herbal Processing Center is expected to launch before the end of 2021.♦
