7 October 2021 – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), through Negosyo Center – Agdangan, in partnership with JNJ Oil Industries Inc., conducted Coco Coir Basic Sole Footwear Making at Agdangan Padre Burgos Producers Cooperative Hall. One registered MSP and 14 potential MSPs (five male and 10 female) took part in the program, for a total of 15 participants.
As part of the CSR Project of JNJ Oil Industries Inc., they initiated conducting skills training on coco coir basic sole footwear making for their chosen community, which is the Agdangan Padre Burgos Producers Cooperative. JNJ Oil Industries Inc. made a partnership with DTI Quezon Provincial Office to make the training possible.
The training started with a prayer led by one of the members of the cooperative beneficiary and followed by giving welcoming remarks from the business counselor of DTI Negosyo Center – Agdangan and a message from the CSR Manager of JNJ Oil Industries Inc. The trainer started the training by giving facts and benefits of the coco coir insole and followed by showing samples. After the discussions, Lota S. Ruby showed the actual process of making footwear insoles and let the participants make an output. Before the end of the activity, the participants were able to produce a pair of insoles made out of coco coir. The program ended with the closing remarks from the CSR Coordinator of JNJ Oil Industries Inc.♦
