CPCC Price Monitoring Task Force

The Tayabas City Price Coordinating Council (CPCC) Joint Task Force conducted Monthly Monitoring at several establishments and markets in Tayabas City on 11 May 2022. The DTI Negosyo Center Tayabas, Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO), PNP Tayabas, City Public Market Operations City Veterinary/Slaughter House, City Agriculture Office, and City Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office were the ones who conducted ad hoc price monitoring activity to compare the price and supply of basic products.

A random price check verification was also conducted at some stores to ensure that the prices on the counter and display were the same. The price monitoring also checks the price of basic necessities and prime commodities, as well as the prevailing price of poultry, meat, and chicken. During the monitoring, it was observed that some of the products’ prices had some movements as compared to the prices that were consolidated in last month’s monitoring. The stores that have some price tags that were not updated complied with the monitoring team. Overall, the stores and the public market that were monitored were all compliant.
