VICTORIA, LAGUNA — Recently, the Department of Trade and Industry – Laguna Provincial Office (DTI-Laguna) partnered with M League ESports PH in identifying areas of intervention in the creative industry as one of the developing industries geared toward innovation and start-ups. To maximize a game tournament as an avenue to attract potential entrepreneurs not limited to developers, designers, testers, streamers, shout casters, and competitive players, M League launched the ESports Tournament hosted by DTI-Laguna and M League ESports PH as a kickoff for this collaborative effort on 11 June 2021.

On June 14, 2021, M League Esports PH hosted the M League Directors Cup: Powered by DTI Tournament Season 1 – Day 1. The league started between Team Centr3s and Team Butil Tv Phantom Wraiths for Game 1. The teams kicked it off with very intense mind games and strategy, but unfortunately, Centr3s was defeated and BTPW advanced on the 2nd round.

As for Game 2, team The pro play faced off with Team Alliance; both teams showed great sportsmanship and competitiveness but Team Alliance paved their way to victory.

For Game 3, Team Bing gaming won over Bad burn E-sports and advanced on the 2nd round.

Lastly, for Game 4, Team Tambunting paved their way to the 2nd round after beating team Big PP with a very creative strategy and skills.♦
