As the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are at risk during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 4A partners with Shopee Philippines to conduct the KALAKAL CALABARZON 2021 Virtual Trade Fair on 19-21 February 2021 to help MSMEs in promoting their products nationwide and to keep their businesses afloat and generate sales in this uncertain and difficult time.
KALAKAL, along with the products from DTI-Region 12, Go Lokal!, DTI-Bureau of Domestic Trade and Promotions, and the DTI-United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Women Entrepreneurship Program, is part of Shopee’s “Tatak Pinoy” campaign to support local products.
During the three-day campaign, Shopee’s front page will feature the campaign banner containing the logos of the DTI and the participating stakeholders. When clicked, the banner will lead users to the trade fair’s microsite. In the KALAKAL CALABARZON 2021 microsite, seventy-three (73) CALABARZON MSMEs and their products will be featured.
“The DTI-Region 4A will start the year with this momentous partnership with Shopee Philippines. We are very excited to introduce and showcase our region’s high-quality and innovative but affordable products to the millions of Shopee users,” said DTI-Region 4A Director Marilou Q. Toledo.
KALAKAL CALABARZON is an annual event organized by the DTI-Region 4A in cooperation with its Provincial Offices. The fair is considered as an appropriate venue for the CALABARZON MSMEs to strengthen the linkages among the various players in the regional economic development by providing an accessible venue for the promotion of all the products and services, to continue to find opportunities in expanding the market of new/existing products, and to create, sustain, and strengthen the network and linkages not only with the government stakeholders but also with other private entities.♦
