Last 1 June 2022, the Livelihood Seeding Program – Negosyo Serbisyo Sa Barangay (LSP-NSB) was held at Kap Valer Multipurpose Gymnasium in Barangay Mapulo Taysan, which was participated by Barangay Mapulo and Barangay Dagatan, Taysan, Batangas.

The event was facilitated by the delegates from DTI Batangas Provincial Office and attended by the LSP-NSB Staff of the Business Development Division (BDD) of DTI 4A, Chief Trade and Industry Development Specialist (CTIDS) Ms. Marina V. Manalo, Ms. Teresita Tawingan Senior TIDS and Ms. Charmaine Angela Trillana (LSP-NSB Support Staff). Ms. Marina Manalo imparted the opening message to the participants of the activity. Barangay Captain Melecio Comia Jr. of Barangay Mapulo also gave his welcome message, and other Barangay Mapulo and Barangay Dagatan Business Development Council (BDC) staff gave their support.

As LSP-NSB aims to increase the awareness of Barangay Officials and people in the Barangays about the services offered by the Department through its Negosyo Centers to contribute to delivering business development assistance and services to uplift them grow their business, thus the Negosyo Center Business Counsellor, Ms. Maria Persia Perez talks about the different DTI Programs like KMME, OTOP, and Negosyo Center Services, while Ms. Marlin Valencia, Trade and Industry Specialist who handles the LSP-NSB Program presented the objectives and overview of the Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay Program. Mr. William Makalintal CAMS of Small Business Corporation (SB Corp) also talked about the Rise-Up Multipurpose Loan Program to support the MSME on their financial requisites and added capital.

Negosyo Center Business Counsellor Ms. Madelyn Maceda shared her knowledge on Entrepreneurial Mindset and the STIDS of the Consumers Protection Division, Ms. Mila Mercado discussed about the Rights and Responsibilities of the consumers. Business Name Registration Services and Consultancy were also done during the said activity and there were also micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) owners who renewed and registered their businesses on the said event.
