For the last two years, the world continues to suffer from the impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic. It ended lives and stopped business operations. This year as we continue to bounce back from its impact, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Laguna Provincial Office thru the Negosyo Center (NC) Majayjay continuously provides assistance to micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the area through different seminars, consultations, trade fairs, and distribution of livelihood assistance, through Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa (PPG), and Livelihood Seeding Program – Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (LSP-NSB).

From 2020, DTI-Laguna and Negosyo Center Majayjay have already awarded 144 livelihood kits to 144 MSMEs in the municipalities. These livelihood kits will provide an additional PHP5,000 worth of goods for their businesses to recover from the impact of the pandemic. And we didn’t stop there, because this year DTI Laguna awarded an additional 99 livelihood kits (the most number of beneficiaries) last 24 March 2022 at Gat Yantok Memorial Court, Majayjay, Laguna to MSMEs that has been affected by the pandemic. These 99 beneficiaries came from 10 different barangays in Majayjay, namely; San Isidro, Suba, Olla, Munting Kawayan, Talortor, San Miguel, Origuel, San Francisco, Ibabang Banga, and Santa Catalina. This time, all 99 beneficiaries received livelihood kits amounting to PHP8,000, PHP3,000 more than the last two years of the program.
