Pakil, Laguna — The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Laguna Provincial Office, through its Consumer Protection Division, promotes consumerism in the municipality of Pakil, Laguna through Diskwento Caravan on 7 February 2022.
The conduct of Diskwento Caravan empowers consumers by providing discounted basic goods and commodities to the barangays. This enables easier access of the said goods to more households, especially in the 4th to 6th class municipalities of Laguna.
Further, this activity has been made possible through the collaborative efforts with Puregold Price Club, Inc. and the Local Government Unit of Pakil, Laguna. Through their aim to provide the public reasonable prices which would indirectly amplify the livelihood and nutrition of their subjects.
In 2021, DTI-Laguna, through its Consumer Protection Division, facilitated a total of 88 Diskwento Caravan runs, having the most number of runs in the country. It would continue to emphasize on this initiative this year with the goal of providing for the best interest of the public. ♦
