Los Baños, Laguna – The Department of Trade and Industry Laguna (DTI-Laguna), through its Negosyo Center Los Baños (NCLB), and the Cooperative Union of Laguna (CUL), marked another milestone as they conducted a free webinar for entrepreneurs to improve the business through good housekeeping practices.

A total of 41 business owners and cooperative members across the province strengthened their productivity skills with the virtual seminar on Fundamentals of 5S for Business success last 19 July 2021.

At the training, participants were briefed about the 5S methodology and how they can apply it both to their work and personal life. 5S stands for the five Japanese words – Seiri (sort), Seiton (systematize), Seiso (shine), Seiketsu (standardize) and Shitsuke (sustain). It is a structured program for organization, cleanliness and standardization.

The training is part of the efforts of DTI-Laguna to promote the continual improvement among MSMEs. It aimed to capacitate the entrepreneurs with information and knowledge as well as practical ways to achieve a healthy, productive and comfortable work environment through a safe, organized and clean workplace with optimized use of resources.♦
